Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Equinox mobile application (“App”) operated by Equinox (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
2. Description of Service
Equinox is a personal finance tracking application that allows you to:
- Record and categorize income and expense transactions
- Set and monitor budgets by category
- Track recurring costs and subscriptions
- View financial analytics and insights
- Set savings goals (Premium)
- Manage credits and loans (Premium)
- Set bill reminders (Premium)
- Export data as CSV/PDF (Premium)
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Premium Subscription
- Premium features are available for €9.99 per month.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the App's subscription management screen.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Premium access until then.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable laws and Stripe's refund policies.
5. User Content & Data
- You retain ownership of all financial data and content you enter into the App.
- You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the App's services.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter.
- We do not verify the accuracy of your financial records.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure.
- Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content.
- Use the App to launder money or engage in fraudulent financial activities.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Resell or redistribute the App or its services.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
- The App is a tracking tool only — it does NOT provide financial advice, tax advice, investment recommendations, or accounting services.
- You should consult qualified financial professionals for financial decisions.
- We are not responsible for any financial losses resulting from reliance on the App's data or analytics.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Equinox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and content (excluding user-generated content), is the property of Equinox and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and requesting account deletion.
- We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
- Data deletion upon termination is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable national laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
